Mystery of the Moedim Paradigm:

Overlapping Millenniums Mystery with Supporting Evidences

Over the last two decades, I have often pondered upon why God designed a structure of three overlapping millennial weeks to set in order His biblical/historical works. But before I expound upon this mystery, let me first summarize what the Moedim Paradigm is for new readers.

In the Genesis creation account, God’s works cover six days followed by a Sabbath, a rest day. Of course, most people already know this. What most people do not know, even most Bible-believing Christians and Jews, is that Jews and early Christians once believed and taught that those six days of God’s works in Genesis, followed by His Sabbath of rest, serve as a pattern of time that human history will follow. Those two weeks are the bottom and top weeks in the Moedim Paradigm. The mystery concerns the middle week, which I will soon explain.

Before Origin and Augustine in the early Church denied the teaching, early apostles and followers of Christ believed that each creation day of Genesis foreshadows 1,000 years of human history. Hence, six millennial days must unfold (from the time of Adam) until Christ comes to reign on Earth for a much greater Sabbath, for the last 1,000 years of this age.
.
When the Roman Catholic Church reinterpreted prophetic Scriptures via the ponderings of the philosopher Augustine, they denied the original faith of Christians whom they began to call chiliasts, which means 1000ers, for the new teaching was that the millennium of Christ, as promised in the Book of Revelation, concerned the Roman Catholic Church’s rule on Earth, not Christ coming to reign with the saints from Jerusalem. Back then, many of them believed that they were already in Revelation’s promised millennium.
.
Moreover, Augustine believed in post-millennialism, which means that he believed that most of the Apocalypse had already occurred. Christ would return after the millennium to defeat Satan and carry the elect into the Kingdom of Heaven for the Great White Throne Judgment. In other words, Christ only comes for believers when God is finished with this world.
.
When 1,000 years had passed since the ascension of Christ, a new form of post-millennialism was embraced- one that asserts that the Roman Catholic Church will rule in complete authority over Earth for a millennium only after all nations are submitted to the Gospel and Roman Church authority. Other Catholic scholars taught what is now known as a-millennialism, which means that the 1,000 years of Revelation’s prophecy is but figurative, meaning papal rule will continue as long as it takes to submit the world and deliver up the Kingdom at the coming of Messiah. A-millennialism literally means no millennium. (NB: Augustine, as those before him, originally believed in the coming millennium of Messiah’s reign, but with his new form of symbolism that glorified Catholicism, apostolic traditions were lost.)

When the Protestant Reformation took hold in the late 15th century and reached a climax against Roman Catholic authority under Martin Luther in the 16th century, it was not truly a reformation for prophetic exegeses. The reformers’ eschatology (study of the end-times) continued along the old thinking pattern of a-millennialism and post-millennialism. Only after Christians (Westerners) became literate, which most of them did in order to read their newly-translated Bibles for themselves (i.e., were no longer confined to hearing Catholic clergy preach in Latin from the Vulgate), did their liberty take root for unorthodox interpretations of prophecy. Now, what is scholarly called premillennial dispensationalism is self-evident for tens of thousands of denominations- that Revelation foretells that Christ will return to reign over the nations and kingdoms of this world.

Nevertheless, most Christians have yet to return to the panoramic picture of redemption, and they do not know that the coming millennium is a Great Sabbath (a seventh day). Since few people study the early teachings of the Ekklesia, they do not perceive that six millenniums of human history will complete the appointed time before the return of Christ. Nor do they know that the millennial week was believed to be a fulfillment of the foreshadowing creation week. Although God told the Hebrews that He gave them His Sabbaths as a “sign,” and Apostle Paul disclosed that the weekly Sabbaths and appointed feast days are “shadows of things to come,” the connections have not been made.
.
Now we can return to the mysterious middle week of millenniums in the Moedim Paradigm. In the Book of Hebrews, Paul explains that Adam and Eve were rejected from their seventh day paradise with God. Paul discerned that the Genesis creation account actually covers six millennial days. Adam and Eve were to live for a millennium- a great Sabbath- with God in paradise. Paul goes on to explain that Israel should have entered a seventh day when Joshua (Yehoshua) led them into the Promised Land. Unfortunately, God explained that they would not enter his rest- His greater Sabbath- because they continuously rebelled in the wilderness. Finally, the great apostle explained that the elect yet await that unfulfilled seventh day- something that we should all feel fearful of missing. Thus, there are three millennial weeks: one of creation, one of Israel, and a workweek that will soon be complete for the Great Sabbath under Messiah.
.
What I did to construct the Moedim Paradigm is simply go back in time to when Israel should have received God as their Great King, c. 1000 B.C. The tribes, however, rejected God (as explained to Samuel) and chose Saul. After Saul, King David prophesied that Israel would not enter into God’s Sabbath. Hence, the 1,000 years of a paradise kingdom under God- flowing with milk and honey- was lost, and Israel suffered civil wars, captivities, bondage to regional kings, and constant rebuke from the holy prophets. When Christ arrived at the end of their lost Sabbath, it was to provide a new way for atonement and entering another, coming Great Sabbath.
.
Rather than the second millennial week that was a mix between the works of God and the works of mankind since Adam, which national Israel could have benefitted from, the new pattern would be for whomsoever would believe. Israel had lost the “Key of Knowledge,” and “they did not discern the time of their visitation.” Thus, another Sabbath became a Kingdom awaited by believing people all over the world. The place of God’s throne would not change, and His prophecies for Israel would still be fulfilled, but an ingathering would bring in lost Israelites and adapted believers from all nations.

These three weeks can also be discerned from the story of Noah’s Ark (which I have an article on). The dove, which represents the Holy Spirit, was sent out three times to find rest for the ark. The first time, she returned unsuccessful. The second time, she brought back an olive leaf in her beak, which represents Israel- the place of God’s rest. For the third week, she did not return, and Noah and the elect family knew that she had found a new world for the ark to rest. These are a Divinely orchestrated similitude.

The Moedim Paradigm covers more than the three framework weeks. All the holy days of Torah correlate with it to offer greater comprehension of God’s panoramic plan. For example, the Passover (Pesach) lambs were chosen on the 10th day of Nisan (Aviv), then kept for four whole days before sacrifice. With the Moedim Paradigm, the mystery of these appointed days is solved. At a quick glance we find that Christ was chosen for sacrifice on the tenth millennial day. Yet Christ had walked among us as the Angel of YHVH since the days of Adam, for four whole millennial days before the sacrifice. He was in our earthly house with us. Christ rose on the third day, and with the Moedim Paradigm we find that it is a sign of Him returning in the flesh on the third millennial day (i.e., after 2,000 years). Indeed, these are but a few things, like the tip of an iceberg; every timely mystery of Scripture fits concisely within the construct.
.
One thing that the template of appointed times does not reveal of itself is why God chose a pattern of overlapping weeks, wherein the middle week could easily be excluded. Without the middle week, which I have taken to calling the “shadow week” and “Israel week,” all millenniums still add up historically. Perhaps He did it so that all 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet could be included, to show the whole Word of God. Perhaps the middle weeks serves to show a transition from the works of God to the works of human history since Adam.
.
While God has not told me, and I still do not know, I have discovered that the overlapping millenniums have things in common. For example, the first day in the paradigm easily correlates with the fourth; Genesis Day One is about heavenly light on Earth, just as Day Four is. Below, I shuffled Day One with Day Four, showing light, Day Two with Day Five, showing waters, and Day Three with Day Six, showing earth. Please read and consider how they correlate. Any comments or revelations are welcome. After all, there is always room to learn. Any idea of why God made the template overlapping is appreciated. (NB: Bible and historical references for this article can be found in previous posts- all having to do with the Moedim Paradigm).

Universe, Solar System, Planetary Formation, and Light on Primordial Ocean: LIGHT FROM THE HEAVENS
.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and [then] the earth. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that its was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. (1,4)

Oceanic Development, Submarine Land Formations, and Marine Life: LIFE IN THE WATERS
.
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God said, Let the waters bring for abundantly the moving creatures that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the in the open firmament of heaven. And God called the firmament Heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. (2,5)

Continental Land Development and Terrestrial Lifeforms: LIFE ON EARTH
.
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beasts of the earth after his kind; and it was so.  And God made the beasts of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (3,6)
