The Shadow Apocalypse of Prophet Elijah:

Restoration and Rain

Those who know Scripture– and this fact doesn’t require any Bible scholar’s opinion- know that there are numerous parallels in the Old Testament to the New Testament, such as Prophet Elijah (God working through him) preventing rain for 3.5 years in ancient Israel and the 3.5 years of the “two witnesses” in the Book of Revelation (two anointed prophets who also have the power to shut-up the heavens). Our minds naturally, as designed by our Creator, look for parallels and patterns that reveal intelligent purposes and intentions. As Apostle Paul wrote, “We compare spiritual things with spiritual things,” and we learn to discern all scriptural secrets (e.g., deep things in Divine parables, similitudes, foreshadowing stories) because we have the mind of Christ (i.e., the “Head” of the Body of Believers).

Having written that, God has specific appointed times (moedim) reserved to grant greater comprehension of biblical knowledge to His people, even as John the Baptist explained that people can receive nothing (especially of Spiritual treasures) except by God granting or allowing them. Hence, we collectively gain if we research known things for ourselves, yet for some things- veiled from the minds of mankind- the Creator sends meek and ordinary messengers, with specific and special revelations to accomplish His objectives when the times are right. Such things are unveiled and add to the panoramic picture of redemption by bringing the subtler parallels and patterns out of obscurity and to the forefronts of our minds.

In this article, we will discover Elijah’s Old Testament rendition of the coming Apocalypse of Christ by doing just that: bringing subtle parallels of his life to light as prophetic/foreshadowing portents written in Scriptures- enigmatic revelations that confess the coming of Messiah.

To prepare readers for this article, I, the scribe, will summarize prior articles on Elijah.

First to note, when we read about the spiritual condition of ancient Israel during Elijah’s day, during the reign of King Ahab and his murderous wife, Queen Jezebel, we are actually receiving warnings of history repeating at the end of the age. Elijah appeared at a time in Israel’s history when the northern ten tribes had reached the pinnacle of their rebellion against God (Elohim YHVH) and His Word. Many Israelites of the time were complacent in their faith and indifferent to evils. Others turned to Baal worship and believed that the Canaanite deity was the god who brought them out of Egypt. During this time, Jezebel was dedicating religious centers that the Bible calls “high places” to Baal and a pantheon in groves, even while persecuting the faithful few. Indeed, she had God’s prophets and preachers murdered and silenced, and those who escaped her grasp did so by going into hiding.

.
During this turbulent period, Elijah was sent to a Gentile widow woman to sustain her and her family during the famine, with God miraculously supplying her with bread and oil. As I wrote in a previous article, this looked to the spiritual famine of Gentiles in our own time, which affects the lost House of Israel at the end of the age. Today, the closer we get to the Apocalypse, we see Western Christians falling away in a like manner, and Christian worship of YHVH is confused with worship of the Muslim deity. Even the head bishop of Roman Catholicism has erroneously stated that we serve the same god, which is completely untrue scripturally, spiritually, and historically.
.
Moreover, there is a falling away from the faith, confusion in worship, indifference to moral depravity and evils, and growing persecution of Christians who stand for the Holy Scriptures and original faith in the God of Israel. God gave us warnings of these things over 2,800 years ago so that we could reflect upon them and repent in our own age.
.
At this point, some Bible-believers might argue that ancient Israel concerns only Jews, not the Christians, and that perhaps I should not correlate the falling away of the ancient nation to our Gentile faith of today. Scriptural history, however, begs to differ. In the Bible there are two houses that represent all of God’s people: the House of Judah and the House of Israel. The northern nation (the House of Israel) was scattered throughout Gentile nations during the Assyrian Captivity c. 722 B.C., whereas Judah (southern nation composed Jews, Levites, and Benjaminites) remained in the Holy Land (i.e., besides 70 years of Babylonian Captivity) until 70 A.D./C.E. Most Israelites lost their identity, and only scant clues remain that suggest how some of them migrated into Europe and Africa, India, and indeed to the most remote corners of the world. Everyone who was left in the land after the Assyrian Captivity, even the Levitical priests, eventually became known as Jews and Jewesses, for they were of the nation of Judah- the kingly tribe. (NB: Every Israelite of origin in the land became known as Jews, not including Samaritans and Canaanites.)
.
Hence, God- wanting to orchestrate a living parable concerning the time directly before the Apocalypse- had Elijah prophesy and work wonders in the northern nation. As it is, Jews of today in Israel are indeed Israelites, but they cannot restore all twelve tribes of Israel, as prophecies predict, because most of them are from the tribes of Judah and Levi, with, to a lesser extent, some of the Benjaminites mixed in. God will finish gathering His people, specifically by the work of Moses and Elijah, from among Gentiles/Christians (depicted in the Feast of Ingathering) to join them with the House of Judah (Jewish Firstfruits) for the coming of Messiah.
.
The Framework For All Biblical Things, Restored
Framework Of All Biblical Things, Restored

This was God’s way of scattering biblical Old Testament truths around much of the ancient world, prepping them for the Gospel; now He works to bring back the lost sheep and all who are willing and obedient to partake in the Kingdom commonwealth via Spiritual adoption. For this outcome, it was recorded in the Book of Malachi that Elijah will turn the hearts of children to their fathers, which means turning back spiritual offspring to the fathers of the faith and to the wisdom of the Just.

Again, most Israelites were separated from the fathers of their faith and the Holy Land, but God has always said that He will turn them all back and bring them back- not just the House of Judah but also the lost House of Israel. Elijah restored the Altar of God with stones for all twelve tribes of Israel, and this looks to a greater gathering for turning back hearts than what was written in the shadows with the stories of old.

This takes place at the same time that former nations of Christendom seek to break the cords of their past to the Bible and ties to Christ (see Ps. 2), just as ancient Israel sought to do with their indifference and Baalism. In other words, God called for the restoration of Israel and the Altar at the very height of their apostasy, and God will do the same to restore His twelve tribes as the world rebels against Christianity and falls away from biblical faith.

EXCEPT BY MY WORD
.
And Elijah the Tishbite [of Tishbe], who was of the inhabitants [sojourners] of Gilead [lit., the rocky places east of the Jordan], said unto Ahab [blasphemous king foreshadowing the Antichrist], “As the LORD God [YHVH Elohim] of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these [3.5] years, but according to my word.” (1 Kin. 17:1) KJV; intrpl. & quo. mine

Symbolic Sun, Pulling The Heavenly Bodies To The Light, IM

When we get into the story of Elijah and the 3.5 years of famine and drought in ancient Israel, the first thing that most readers tend to notice is that the bold prophet appears rather abruptly- one aspect of the Tishbite’s persona that exegetes generally agree upon. The question becomes: ‘Why is this so if the things that he did back then point to a future fulfillment of his coming restoration of Israel?’

In my estimation, God wanted to show us that he had to be bold and announce himself when he appeared somewhat mysteriously. Indeed, this is fitting for future fulfillment because very few Christian teachers and scholars assert that Elijah is coming to “restore all things,” to prepare the way for Messiah, at least concerning the eschatological beliefs of Roman Catholics and Western Protestant denominations. Most exegetes earnestly believe that John the Baptist fulfilled all of the relevant Old Testament (Tanakh) prophecies, as if he restored “all things” in the first century of the Common Era. Yet how can this be when John was already dead when Jews and the apostles of Messiah still looked for the “restoration of all things” (see Acts 3:21)?

Even those who teach that Elijah will be a foreman or harbinger, before Christ returns, only explain him as a prophet coming with destructive power, as one of the two great witnesses in Revelation. Relatively few Christians expect a revelator of Scriptures who restores hearts to the fathers of the faith and Holy Land. And even this assertion (Elijah being one of the “two witnesses”) is continuously debated; many Christians exclaim that “the Church” is one of the two witnesses of the book, and Jews are the other witness.

Not only that, but there is a popular teaching of an “Elijah Company” of super Christians- absent Elijah- that does all the restorative work of God to prepare to deliver the Kingdom to Christ, despite the fact that the churches continue to divide into various denominations (between 35,000-45,000) and sects, and they have restored very little truth over the centuries.

Hence, Elijah must introduce himself, and he must do so with a strong statement, prophetic shadows to substance.

Likely, Elijah’s claim- “except according to my word!”- was despised by most religious people in ancient Israel. After all, who did he think he was to abruptly appear and claim that he would shut the heavens? Where were his supporters, and what was his genealogy? Where were his previous works recorded, and what were his credentials? Was he a Levitical priest, a Gentile convert to the faith, an Israelite, perhaps a scholar in the kingly lineage, or merely another zealous prophet from an obscure school of prophets? No consensus has been reached to this very day. After all, was he not but a sojourner from across the river divide?
.
How can you, the reader, know that Israelites of the time actually despised Elijah? Simple: God had to feed him by ravens at a brook, where he dwelled alone, and it was a Gentile widow who took him in. Nobody turned against King Ahab and Queen Jezebel to cast them down in the midst of their tyranny, not even after they put a death warrant out against the prophet, throughout Israel and all surrounding nations. Further, during the 3.5 years of famine, Israel saw Elijah’s words come to pass, but still he had to prove himself to them with fire coming down from Heaven, praying that God would prove that “I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your Word” (see 1 Kin. 36).
.
The people had their own religious beliefs and teachers, and most of them were perfectly content not to argue over them. Although they remained divided over two belief systems (between YHVH and Baal), they lacked zeal for God’s side and accepted the state-allowed religion (Baalism)- indifferent to persecution by the foreign witch Jezebel. In fact, Scripture records that “the people answered [Elijah] not a word” (see 1 Kin. 18:21).
.
Further, even after he called fire down from heaven, and the people temporarily turned back their hearts to Elohim YHVH, they did not immediately rebel against Jezebel, and they did not gather unto Elijah at Mount Horeb, where they had previously gathered as a nation under Moses. When Prophet Elijah prayed that he was the only one left, that was how he felt, for the northern Israelites were submitted to Baalism and refused to stand and fight for Elohim YHVH. These clues from the past grant us a realistic picture of things developing now and things to come.
.
In my opinion, Christians have done a great injustice to the work appointed to Prophet Elijah for the end of the age, and often his role is completely omitted in books and lectures on so-called “end-times.” While Jews have always taught that Elijah will come to resolve their rabbinical disputes over Scriptures and announce the Kingly Messiah, Christians have long sought to replace him- some collectively and others claiming to be him. The most common reason for not teaching of a coming restoration, however, is a lack of scriptural knowledge and blatant distortion of Scriptures by religious leaders.
.
One would think that God’s warning about striking the world “with utter destruction” (see Mal. 4) if Elijah is not heard, and hearts are not turned back and united, would be a sufficient cause for exegetes to prepare the entire Ekklesia for his coming, but such has not been the historical case.
.
The fact that he must appear to “restore all things” lets us know that the churches have many errors in doctrines, and scriptural things must be restored for one Bride. Prophet Elijah will have to announce himself to the spiritually lost Israelites, and he must do so in the midst of false Elijah-figures, false prophecies, and false doctrines that render the people obstinate and rebellious, until the vengeance of God is completely poured out upon the renegade nations. Just as the 3.5. years of drought meant little to ancient Israel as evidence of God working through him (so opposed to Elijah they were), so will the two witnesses be resisted, even during their prophesying for the last 3.5 years. Most Christians will not believe, and they will join the world in celebrating the death of the two in Jerusalem. This is not being taught to believers who are distracted and divided between A-millennialism and Rapture Theology.
.

Moving on, let us consider what it symbolically means to shut up the heavens and stop the rain. Prophet Elijah will cause the muddied doctrines on Earth to dry-up during the Apocalypse. In biblical symbolism, true doctrine is likened to dew from the heavens, and rain represents the “waters of the Word” coming from God. On Earth, there are many natural waters to explore that have already come down from God, be they salt waters or fresh waters, in ponds, lakes, oceans, etc. The passage above points us to a period of time when all of Israel will find their sweet spots of polluted doctrines dried-up at the word of Elijah. Crook doctrines will be set straight, and the water will be crystal clear.

There is only one absolute Truth, and the churches of probably over one hundred thousand Christian denominations, with all of its small, exclusive, and nameless sects mixed in, do not know the Great Mystery of our God- His Moedim Paradigm. Today, the Lord YHVH is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh- meaning, on people from all nations- yet the apostles taught of a time at the end of the age when the people of God will no longer endure sound doctrine. Everyone has something to reveal from a dream, trance, vision, or sign, but how many of them are expounding the deep things of Scriptures? Truly it is wonderful to receive personal, prophetic revelations, but only those who truly know the Holy Scriptures will discern with clarity the Divine truths concerning the coming of Messiah, and surrender their denominational nonsense and preconceived ideas that do not correlate with the whole of the Word.

.
SHOWDOWN
.
And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria [Israel]. (1 Kin. 18:1-2) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
The above passage is written as if rain would fall during the third year after Elijah first prayed for God to shut the heavens, but we know from other passages that 3.5 years had passed after the prophecy was given. Obviously, the gathering to Mount Carmel- although it reads as a quick event- of the 450 false prophets of Baal, the 400 false prophets of Asherah (i.e, Canaanite goddess, Ishtar), and the children of Israel took time to assemble. The word had to travel throughout the northern nation in an age that lacked instantaneous communication, and while they gathered Elijah had to begin rebuilding the destroyed Altar of YHVH. Likewise, the Word had to travel throughout the world before the restoration and Ingathering of Sukkot.
.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing [Sabbath] shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he [God] shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom heaven must receive [keep, embrace at God’s Throne] until the times of restitution [restoration] of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world [the World-Age of Adam] began. (Acts. 3:19-21) KJV; intrpl. & emp. mine
..
However, the biblical wording of “the third year” is no mistake that misleads readers; rather, it correlates with the panoramic picture of the Messiah’s coming. We find these allusions to the number three, and the faithful gathering on the third, elsewhere in Scripture. For example, Moshe told Pharaoh that Israel had to take a three-day-journey to meet Elohim YHVH, and God told them to bathe and wash their clothes and be ready for the third day. Likewise, the Messiah- called by the name of the His Father YHVH- comes as the Former and Latter Rain (at two spiritual harvest seasons), and on the third day His people will rise to live in His sight (see Hos. 6:1-3).
.
Plainly, all of this this simply means that after two millennial days (2,000 years from the cross, first harvest season), the Messiah will appear: on the third day. Moreover, the Bible plays on numbers that allude to the panoramic picture of redemption, which is why it was scribed that God told Elijah in the third year to go and announce the coming rain. Elijah will announce the coming of the Latter Rain of Jesus Christ, for the third millennial day since the cross.
.
Yet there is more to reveal concerning “the third year.” The Apocalypse (with the exception of the seven called-out assemblies) is divided into seven years/seals (or “times”). During the third year/seal (see Rev. 6:5-6), famine reaches its pinnacle in the Middle East with global food shortage, whereas the first year is marked by religious deception and the second by warfare (i.e., the white and red horses). Then, Moses and Elijah will arrive for a showdown with the Antichrist (Beast and False Prophet nations) that lasts 3.5 years, with power to shut the heavens to the detriment of rebellious nations.
.
Hence, what we perceive in the ancient gathering of Israel and Elijah’s showdown with false prophets is something that will soon be fulfilled when Elijah gathers the House Israel, and when the two witnesses battle the children of the False Prophet Mohammad. Indeed, there will be a Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) when the Ingathered Fruits are brought in with the Firstfruits. During this time, the Antichrist, with the renegade world, will seek to destroy them, even as King Ahab sought to destroy Elijah for his prophecies.
.
True Christians and Jews (those who are outspoken for biblical truths) will be persecuted during this time even as Jezebel (the idolater) sought and killed the prophets of YHVH (many of whom went into hiding, sustained by Obadiah, see 18:3-4).
.
Interesting to me is the fact that Jezebel means chaste, and her marriage to the substitute king of Israel (NB: Israel’s kings in substitution of God) seems to indicate a false Bride of Christ– just as Paul considered himself a presenter of chaste spiritual virgins of the first century. Like Jezebel, she who aids in the persecution of believers falsely presents herself as a chaste wife, despite her idolatry and paganism. Today, unlike the days when the papal heads at least had the prudence to defend Christian nations from Muslim hordes, we see the idolatrous Roman Catholic Church mixing Christianity with Islam, even welcoming an influx of millions and claiming that the two religions serve the same deity. Although Bishops of Rome are paraded about in their papal pomp as saints and chaste Christians, the history of the Roman religion’s persecution of disagreeing Christians and Jews is quite bloody indeed.
.
Nonetheless, just as Jezebel was eventually cast down from her heights for her crimes, Babylon, which has already fell from power and lost control of the Beast, will be cast down and destroyed at the end of the Apocalypse (cf. 2 Kin. 9:30-34; Rev. 7:8; 14:8; 17:6, 16; 18:21, 24). Elijah called Israel out of the corrupted state religion for true devotion to God, to Elohim YHVH, and this angered Jezebel, but during the Apocalypse the people of God are called to escape Babylon, the mother of religious harlots (i.e., unfaithful to their covenant with God, see Rev. 18:4).
.
As far as most of Israel was concerned, King Ahab was out doing the right thing, on the job searching for grazing land and water to save the state’s animals. Obadiah, his servant, searched in one region while the king searched another. This biblical clue of him seeking to save the livestock may point to the future Antichrist presenting himself as a savior during apocalyptic times, perhaps a humanitarian and animal preservation champion (or a man for the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Agenda 21/30).
.
Elijah, however, was the cause of the famine that made so many lives miserable (see 1 Kin. 17:1), at least from a worldly perspective. It was an act of treason against the royal family for any Israelite to not kill him or at least report his whereabouts. In like manner, those who prophesy God’s biblical truths during the Apocalypse will receive blame and/or hate for suggesting God’s judgments. Even today, progressive globalists stretch the limits of imagination to blame conservative Christians rather than the Muslim terrorists who slaughter them (e.g., the slaughter of 14 people at a Christmas party in San Bernardino, CA.). Indeed, the madness of Satan’s children is already manifest, and it will increase during the Apocalypse.
.
Even the Roman Catholic Church was hated by the progressive media and activists in the West until they foolishly elected a socialist, Marxist Bishop of Rome (whom they now love), who sympathizes with Muslims as siblings of a single faith. Yet, as Prophet Daniel wrote (see Dan. 11:33-35), the people who truly know their Elohim YHVH will be given a little aid during persecution, just as Obadiah, servant over the king’s house, aided hiding prophets; many people, however, will infiltrate the saints to destroy them from within with the state religion of political correctness. As counterfeit Christianity blames Moses, Elijah, and prophesying Christians (as fundamentalists) for taking peace from the world, those who speak biblical truths will be hated by all nations (as Yeshua HaMashiach has said).
.
Fear will abound as the totalitarian global government pushes its will on the world for their demented utopia, and this can be discerned in Obadiah’s foreshadowing fear of King Ahab. Elijah- suggested by the Divine Text- had a history of being carried away in a whirlwind of Holy Spirit activity, whenever and wherever the Spiritual winds began to blow, and Obadiah obviously counted it a disadvantageous thing to be left on the hook and facing execution if Elijah should suddenly decide to change his course and could not be found.
.
“As the LORD [YHVH] thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord [Ahab] hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, ‘He is not there;’ he [Ahab] took [required] an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee [Elijah] not. And now thou sayest, ‘Go, tell thy lord, “Behold, Elijah is here.”’ And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the [Holy] Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.”- Obadiah (I Kin. 18:10-12) KJV; intrpl. & quo. mine
.
To summarize thus far, the Beast/Antichrist will seek to kill the “two witnesses” for their prophecies (Rev. 11:7), and Christians/Messianics will escape into hiding and face martyrdom (Rev. 13:7). The end objective, however, is God gathering His people to restore the twelve tribes and turn back their hearts. The main enemies of the elect are secular humanism fascists of a totalitarian state and the false religions that they mix in for peace and multiculturalism. In Revelation we find that the blame is not placed on the united nations that have rebelled against God, rather the world will blame those who prophesy of the vengeance of God on the renegade world.
.
And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim [Canaanite masters of Baal]. Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel’s table. (1 Kin. 18:17-19) KJV; intrpl. & emp. mine
.
The groves (lit., Asherah) of high places were erected by King Solomon, meaning peaceful, and they prominently featured Ishtar (a.k.a. Ashtaroth and Ashtoreth) with lesser deities of the pantheon. Solomon rebelled and built them for his one thousand wives and concubines (sign of a false millennial utopia)- many of whom were foreigners who did not worship the true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel (see 1 Kin. 11:5, 33; 2 Kin. 23:13). Ishtar, the “Queen of Heaven,” and Baal were pagan deities which caused Israel to go astray, and Elijah shutting up the heavens by the power of Lord YHVH was a direct challenge on the foreign gods’ supposed power over rain and harvests. In a way, King Ahab’s blame of Elijah was a confession that the true God was being invoked by the prophet, whereas Jezebel and her mingled and mixed religion was the cause of God’s wrath (hence, powerless to stop it).
.
In the Old Testament, King Solomon was called to build the House of God- the Holy Temple- in Jerusalem, and yet he rebelled in his old age with worldly wives. In the New Testament, the “Church” (Ekklesia) was called to build a spiritual “Temple of living stones” for the Spirit of God to dwell. And have they not rebelled by mingling paganism into the Judeo-Christian faith? Further, if an Elijah character came along to challenge them and announce their fall, would Babylon and her denominational daughters welcome such a proclamation? Or, would they remain obstinate and defiant as Jezebel? Would it not be as much of a challenge on their authority over the spiritual heavens? Again, the prophet said that only by his word would dew and rain come down. This challenge is fitting with the scriptural truth that the Latter Rain and the Great Sabbath refreshing will not come down from Heaven until the “restoration of all things” (see Acts 3:19-21). It matters not what bishops or imams or preachers or anyone claims for doctrine, Heaven must receive Christ until the restoration of Elijah: Only then does He come with vengeance for His enemies.
.
We discern that King Ahab gathering all religious enemies to battle with Elijah in Israel correlates to the Antichrist gathering all nations against Israel for battle.
.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth [through the words] of the dragon [Satan], and out of the mouth of the Beast [head of the Antichristian nations], and out of the mouth of the false prophet [head of the Muslim nations]. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles [demonic deceptions], which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:13-14) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
At the same time that Holy Spirit gathers and unties His people, the world will unite people under its main demonic belief systems to make war with them and each other. In the end, atheistic communism, secular globalism, Islam, Buddhism, and every deceptive religion and antichristian ideology will be destroyed.
.
Today, we already find the world vying for control over the Near/Middle East and North Africa for its oil, minerals, and contracts for commercial development. Israel is particularly targeted by the United Nations and many progressive European nations as they seek to appease Islamic nations. Every Marxist/socialist from the Bishop of Rome, Jesuit Jorge Mario Bergoglio, to Obama’s Secretary of State, John Kerry, seeks to implement their ideas of peace between Israel (the only non-Islamist nation in the region) and Muslim Palestinians, and most of them see a solution in calling for more land concessions from the Jewish people, including making Jerusalem the capital of a new Palestinian state.
.
This world push against the nation of Israel will reach its climax as Moses and Elijah prophesy during the Apocalypse. Satan’s historical plan has always been to prevent the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven and the gathering/restoration of the elect- to prevent the prophecies leading to the Christ King from being fulfilled in the Holy Land. Many people do not know this, but until the seventh century after Christ’s sacrifice, there was no such thing as Islam in the region; the land was ruled by the Roman Empire, largely composed of Christians, Jews, and various pagan religions. Islam is Satan’s religion, and it was formed for the purpose of opposing God’s will. Nevertheless, God allows their rebellion and gathering against Israel, and He will use their own plans to break His enemies in a clash of civilizations, in which the world has never seen the likes of.
.
“For, behold, in those days, in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah [bring back Jews] and Jerusalem [take back the Holy City], I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat [lit., Judgment of YHVH], and will plead with them for my people and for my heritage [place of His messianic throne], whom they have scattered among the nations [Diaspora], and parted MY LAND.”- Elohim YHVH (Joel 3:1-2) KJV; intrpl. & emp. mine
.
This prophecy of war is centered upon the retaliation of the regions of Tyre and Sidon, and God calls out Palestinians by name (see Joel 3:1-2). In a previous article, I explained how ancient Baal worship in Philistia (ancient Palestine) and surrounding regions received a literary facelift under Mohammad’s invention of Islam (which means submission, not “peace” as Barack Hussein Obama lied to defend). And the same false deity is being worshipped.
.
Ba’al, meaning master/husband/lord, was Ba’alah in feminine form, meaning mistress, wife. These were human titles and subtitles for the gods and goddesses that the people of the region submitted to, just as English-speaking people distinguish between lord and Lord. Arabs in ancient times- and over time- confused god and goddess roles (ba’al and ba’alah). This is suggested by the fact that the sun- of many pagan religions of the time and region, which was a male deity married to the moon deity (wife)- was turned around among Bedouin tribes. The moon became the male deity with the sun as his wife. Thus, the moon mistress Ba’alah became the head male deity Allah, etymologically altered over time. Ba’als/allahs (lords, gods) again became a proper name, Allah, for their god because it was a “lord” title before their gods, such as Ba’al-Hadad, placed over all other gods (supposedly a pantheon of 365 tribal deities in the Ka’aba when Mohammad destroyed all but the moon deity Allah).
.
Baal, proper name, was the head deity usually pictured with a sword, ready to smite enemies’ heads. Yigael Yadin, an Israeli archaeologist until he died in the mid-80s, asserted correctly that Baal was the original moon god, which fits with Allah. Baal was consider lord of the heavens and brought rain and storms for crops and fertility to his adherents (high reproduction). Moreover, Baal, the most popular Canaanite deity, never disappeared from the turbulent region of bloody religion and desert conflicts, it simply morphed into Allah after spreading throughout the Mediterranean region. Even more interesting as a correlation, Baal was a taker of virgins for sacrifice long before the Muslims began raping and stealing little girls for wives while claiming to do so at the will of Allah. Baal, the raging bull (according to Egaritic texts) married his virgin sister, Anat, and he had offspring with her. Hence, Muslims came to believe that Heaven is filled with virgin girls waiting for martyrs because of ancient sacrifices, by the sword and will of Baal.
,
What we find in Revelation is the climatic conclusion of an ancient war between Israel (true Israelites) and Baalism.
.
So Ahab [lit. uncle, a term for familial government] sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel [God’s fruitful]. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye [linger undecided] between two opinions [religious beliefs]? if the LORD [YHVH] be God, follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD [stand proclaiming the true Word]; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Let them therefore give us two bullocks [sacrificial bulls]; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under [it]: And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD [YHVH]: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. (1 Kin. 18:20-24) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
The test was which sacrifice would be acceptable in the name of the true God? Would Elijah’s work- in the shadows of Messiah, preparing the way for the true sacrifice- be realized? Or, would Baal and his underling Canaanite deities arise to send down holy fire from the heavens?
.
For Christians, Elijah preparing the way for God to perform His own sacrifice, with fire sent down from Heaven, should sound familiar to God accepting the sacrifice of Christ, some 850 years later, even as God provided His own sacrifice when Abraham was called with Isaac to Mount Moriah (see my article on the Lamb of Moriah). And what did Elijah do? He told the false prophets to choose a fireless sacrifice, placed on wood, and he would choose his fireless sacrifice that he would place on wood, and leave the rest to God.
.
What does this imply except that Christ was sent to the cross, and the true fire that determines which sacrifice God will accept is from above and comes from His own Spirit? After all, it is written in Scriptures that our Elohim YHVH is an all-consuming fire, for He tests all things by His Holy Spirit. Hence, what we see in the story of Elijah preparing the way for YHVH, to choose His sacrifice, is something that the Creator accepted outside the Levitical priesthood in Jerusalem, outside ordinances of the Law at the Temple, and outside state approval, for it pointed to a much greater Sacrifice that was chosen from the fire of the Spirit above.

Today's Baalism is Islam
Today’s Baalism is Islamic Jihadism

Muslims deny the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, claiming that Yeshua (whom they call “Isa”) merely ascended into Heaven without dying for our sins. In fact, they claim that Judas Iscariot- the “Son of Perdition”– died in His place on the cross, beaten beyond recognition.

But what does this mean other than the fact that lying Muslims have no sacrifice for their transgressions? God ignores their homicidal, suicidal false martyrdom, for they are not acceptable before the holy throne. Things written over 2,800 years ago indeed foreshadow what we see today: Muslims are still trying to prove themselves righteousness through blood sacrifice, killing of innocents, and destroying for their religion, and God still rejects them.

Their imams teach that those who sacrifice their own blood, in battling Jews and Christians, will receive tickets to paradise. This Satanic monstrosity of ideology is easily discernible in the shadows with Baalism. Muslims pray five times a day to their false deity- towards the Ka’aba in Mecca- but their Allah does not respond nor speak to them, and they teach that their god is not a personal god to respond. He is too lofty and too high above the creation. Millions of Christians, however, have seen and spoken with the Lord in dreams and visions. Thus, the only way that Muslims know to get their deity’s attention (to please Satan) is the shedding of their own blood in what they believe to be their righteous sacrifices and martyrdom, which are in reality evil atrocities against the innocent.

Muslim Self-Flagellation With Swords During Ashura Day

And they [false prophets] took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal [Ba’alah, Allah] from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us, but there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar [acted like savage fools in their religion] which was made. And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing [bowel movement, relieving himself], or he is in a journey [hajj pilgrimage to Mecca], or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked [like the “12th Imam” supposedly asleep in a well until the Apocalypse]. And they cried louder, and cut themselves after their manner [like Islam] with knives [small swords] and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied [raged] until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice [the offering of offerings], that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded [them]. Rage of the False Prophet Mohammad, Filth of Islam, PDI

In verse 18:24, Elijah tells the false prophets to go first, to give them plenty of time to prove themselves, for, he said, “You are many.” The point made is that it matters not how much time is wasted on lies or how many converts or defenders a religion has, such things do not make their claims true. During that last 1,400 years, Islam has gained over one billion converts through their bloodshed (sword, intimidation, terrorism), political infiltration, invasions of nations, and high birthrates. They do not win souls or hearts and minds, except for the few among the most ignorant and naïve in any given society; rather, their common mean of spreading their religion is to submit those who are more peaceful, and new, brainwashed generations arise who are not allowed to question their False Prophet, Mohammad. Those who do not honor the False Prophet are tortured in various ways and killed, often beheaded.

What readers should glean from the passage above is that it is completely compatible with the raging Islam of today. And, just like then, their great numbers will not save them. What is Revelation’s “patience” of the “beheaded” saints except that God will take His vengeance: Those who take captives and “kill by the sword must be killed by the sword,” for a slaughter of astonishing proportion is coming to all of Islam. In that day, their numbers will count for nothing. Their wicked, self-righteous sacrifices and rhetoric will count for nothing, for they have rejected the acceptable Sacrifice of our God for their own blood.

.
And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob [see Deut. 32:8], unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name: And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD [YHVH]: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. And he said, Do it a second time. And he said, Do it a third time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. (1 Kin. 18:30-35) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
What do these things foreshadow? (1) Elijah gathers the people of God to him and Moses during the Apocalypse; (2) he repaired the Altar of YHVH that was broken down, which points to the Temple of Living Stones being restored for all of Israel, even as the Altar of Sacrifice for the Temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt for Messiah; (3) in preparing for the acceptable sacrifice (see Rom. 5:8-10) and setting the the things of the cross in order (the wood), he will convince all of Israel to believe; (4) this preparation requires an abundance of the “waters of the Word” being poured out before them, for the sacrifice of Christ must be covered with the waters of the Word to establish His truths; (5) the waters of the Word covering the event of the cross brings about the fire of the Holy Spirit for an acceptable sacrifice for sins; (6) the waters of the Word surrounding the sacrifice must be poured out on Earth, just as it filled the earthly trenches; (7) the prophet will restore the people according to the boundaries given for the tribes of Israel; and (8) four barrels of water were poured three times, meaning that twelve barrels of water covered the sacrifice for all tribes of Israel. This confessed not only that Christ came at 4,000 years to become God’s chosen Sacrifice, but 12,000 years in the Moedim Paradigm will bring about the restoration of all things unto God.
.
Also notable, the trench that could contain two measures of seeds expresses that two peoples in the Earth will be joined as the waters of the Word are poured upon them: millions of Messianic Jews and Gentile Christians. The reason that Elijah had them pour out the four barrels a second time, then a third time, was to illustrate that Christ will return from Heaven on the third millennial day, after two days (see Hos. 6), and after the third year (time) of the two witnesses prophesying in Jerusalem. These things look to the final works of God before Christ is revealed, for the Word of God will cover Earth like waters of the seas, as the prophets predicted, and the two witnesses of God will consume all false doctrines with fire from their mouths.
.
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant [God’s messenger, not Mohammad], and that I have done all these things [restoring all things] at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God [YHVH Elohim], and that thou hast turned their heart back again [see Mal. 4]. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD [YHVH], he is the God [Elohim]. (1 Kin. 18:36-39) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
God was unveiled to Israelites by fire, and fire will be the way of His coming. All things that are build on the foundation of Christ will be tested by fire, and during the consummation, the Holy Spirit will receive all things that are His. The earth that was once baptized in water will soon be baptized in a fiery sacrifice (2 Pet. 3:10-12). The wicked will be burned-up and left as “ashes under the feet” of the righteous, as Prophet Malachi has written (see Mal. 4), and only those who accept the sacrifice in which God accepts for our transgressions shall be saved. Then, in that day, all of Israel will be righteous, with all evil consumed out of the land of the Great King. Indeed, there will be no more Muslims in the Holy Land.
.
Yet before that day comes (the Great Sabbath of YHVH), the Greatest Deceiver, Satan, will seek to confuse and confound the people of God and even bring down his own form of fire via the False Prophet:
.
And he [False Prophet of Islam] doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast [global empire]; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by the sword and did live. (Rev. 13:13-14) KJV; intrpl. mine
.
What readers should receive from Revelation passages is that this is an ancient war for Truth in the world. Today, fire is coming down from the heavens like never before, and it comes with the violence of war. As for Muslims, it comes with shouts of “Allahu Akbar,” for they believe that their god is great when they destroy a passenger plane or shoot down a rescue helicopter or randomly fire rockets into Israel and cities in Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere. In many of these instances, they have temporary victory for their diabolical cause of submitting nations to their religion, but in the end they will be destroyed by both spiritual and corporeal fire. As written in the shadows, when Elijah had all the false prophets slain at the Brook of Kishon, which means crooked, a like bitter end comes to the servants of False Prophet Mohammad and their crooked doctrines.
.
And Elijah said unto Ahab [a type of Antichrist], Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain [Former & Latter Rain, Messiah]. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot [war chariot], and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. (1 Kin. 18:41-44) KJV; intrpl. & emp. mine

Price Paid For The Saved
Double The Price Paid For The Saved, IM

It is interesting that the wicked in Scripture choose to “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die,” and that message suited Ahab just fine. During the Apocalypse, the Antichrist will be called to the Battle of Armageddon, and at the end of the war he will be captured and cast into prison. Judgment comes from God, but from the wicked king on down there is an attitude of indifference and pleasure-seeking.

As for the duration of the Apocalypse, it lasts seven times which means seven years in biblical terminology. That is what we see in the story of Elijah awaiting the refreshing rain and the end of the curse. On the seventh time, Christ will come with the clouds of Heaven, and all His enemies will be destroyed before Him.

His righteous dominion will be everlasting, from sea to sea, and He will rule rebellious nations with a “rod of iron.” In the Book of Revelation, a beastly empire arises out of the Gentile sea (Great Sea) to persecute the people of God, and this is witnessed to in the Book of Daniel (7:2-9), but a humble “cloud of witnesses” will arise with the Messiah to defeat them. The little cloud that comes with the Hand of God will become a raging storm to cleanse the entire world of the wicked and their unrighteous. The people of Elohim YHVH will become one seed (spiritual progeny) in unity and one offspring as a people, revealed with the Messiah from the Valley of Jezreel to the world. Like Ahab, the Antichrist will flee from the rain- from waters of the Word sent from Heaven- but God will pursue him and all the wicked leaders of the world, to bring them to justice on the Great Sabbath for their manifold evils (see Isa. 23:9-11).

And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [lit., entrance of the “Seed of God”]. (1 Kin. 18:46) KJV; intrpl. min.

This has been the shadow Apocalypse according to Prophet Elijah, and those who have spiritual ears to hear spiritual things will know that it is indeed true as a summary of things that have been and things soon to come.
